Spending all day helping businesses optimize their processes and make better decisions, faster, can be tough work. It’s nice to have some time to unwind now and then—especially if it’s for a good cause!

Signavio joins Blue Prism Charity Golf Day

Signavio was delighted to be invited to the very first Blue Prism Charity Golf Day, held in the UK on September 12th. In the lush environs of St. George’s Hill Golf Club, currently ranked as England’s seventh-best golf course, 72 keen participants were greeted by a champagne breakfast, and an exclusive goody bag to get the day started. Suitably refreshed, the players were divided into 18 teams for a shotgun start, with each group teeing off simultaneously from different holes.

Blue Prism may be a valued partner for Signavio, joining forces as part of the Technology Alliance Program, but on the golf course there can only be one champion, and this time Signavio came out on top! Congratulations to Jamie Brooker and Mark Law from Signavio’s UK office, who took home the championship on the day.

Beneficiaries of the Blue Prism Charity Golf Day

Of course, the real winners were the three great charities who were the beneficiaries of all funds raised:

  • One Laptop Per Child, whose mission is to empower the world's poorest children through education, and provide each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power, connected laptop;
  • Plastic Oceans, who work with businesses, scientists, schools, and policy-makers to change attitudes and behaviors towards plastic, with the goal of stopping plastic reaching the oceans within a generation; and
  • The Christie Charitable Fund, which provides enhanced care and treatment over and above those funded by the UK’s National Health Service.

The event concluded with a four-course lunch and drinks on the terrace at St. George’s, a suitably luxurious end to a very enjoyable and successful first Blue Prism Charity Golf Day. The donations are still flowing in, so the final figure has yet to be determined, but Blue Prism and all participants have confirmed the event as a great success for the charities involved. We look forward to next year’s event, and of course, defending the Signavio title!

Celebrating a great day of golfing and giving.
