Since the initial release of the SAP Signavio Value Accelerator packages for secondary distribution management (SDM) and retail fuel network operations (RFNO), both packages have been significantly extended. We are pleased to announce that several process areas previewed as upcoming have now been delivered. For a full overview of the packages and their foundational content, see our original post.
Secondary Distribution Management
The SDM package now includes bottled gas scenarios, completing coverage for distributors operating across both bulk fuel and gas product lines. This addition is particularly relevant for diversified energy companies that manage liquid fuel and bottled gas distribution within a single SAP S/4HANA environment (see Figure 1).

Bottled gas distribution carries distinct operational characteristics compared to bulk fuel. Different packaging units, cylinder tracking requirements, and return logistics are reflected in the new process models. Coverage follows the same two-dimensional structure that underpins the existing SDM content: pick-up and delivered sales scenarios, across both own-stock and third-party stock arrangements. This means all four scenario combinations are now available for both product types.
Retail Fuel Network Operations
The RFNO package has been extended with three major additions (see Figure 2.):
- Clearing house settlement process, covering settlement flows between fuel retailers and clearing house operators
- Goods movement processes, providing structured BPMN models for physical stock movements at station level
- Changeover processes, including dealer, product ownership, service station status and business model changeover scenarios, critical for network restructuring and station lifecycle management

These additions bring the RFNO package closer to full end-to-end coverage of the fuel retail value chain, from dealer onboarding through settlement and stock management.
All new models align with the same level-based architecture and BPMN depth as the existing package content, making them immediately usable in fit-to-standard workshops and process harmonization initiatives.

Both packages are available in the value accelerator library for SAP Signavio solutions. Further enhancements are already in progress, so stay tuned for more updates.
