Signavio congratulates Wil van der Aalst for winning the “German Nobel Prize”

Signavio would like to congratulate Prof. Dr. Wil van der Aalst on being awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Professorship, one of the highest academic recognitions in Germany. The award recognizes his achievements in the fields of process mining, business process management, workflow management systems, and data science.

 

Prof. Dr. Wil van der Aalst has published more than 200 articles in scientific journals, authored or edited 20 books, and contributed to 500 book publications and conference proceedings. Signavio has respected Prof. Dr. Wil van der Aalst’s work from the very beginning, as Signavio CEO and founder, Gero Decker, completed his PhD thesis under Prof. Dr. Wil van der Aalst’s co-supervision.

 

The underlying technology of SAP Signavio Process Intelligence was inspired by Wil van der Aalst and many of the algorithms that have been implemented were inspired by the outcome of his research group.
