fenaco — one of Switzerland's largest cooperative groups — built its strength on local autonomy across multiple entities. That same autonomy left its finance landscape fragmented: multiple legacy FICO systems, no group-level automation, and uncertain vendor futures. In this session, fenaco and Scheer IDS show how a composable enterprise approach is replacing that complexity with a single finance core: SAP Central Finance, governed master data, and a group-wide reporting layer — while preserving local flexibility. SAP Signavio, SAP LeanIX and SAP Enable Now accompanied the transformation as business process and change enablement tools — ensuring adoption keeps pace with architecture. We share the key design decisions, the phased rollout journey since 2022, and the honest lessons from transforming a federated cooperative at scale.
