At the SAP Transformation Excellence Summit this week in Austin, TX, SAP Signavio unveiled their vision for the future of process transformation. In his keynote presentation at the Summit, Signavio’s Founder and General Manager, Gero Decker, illustrated this vision with two key themes: The Quest for Value and Building the Organization of the Future.

The Quest for Value

Organizations don’t transform for transformation’s sake. They transform in order to achieve meaningful outcomes. Ultimately, you measure success in terms of the value transformation delivers. To get at that value, Gero talked about several innovations in Signavio’s portfolio.

Delivering value depends first on uncovering and identifying the value hidden in process inefficiencies and variances. Signavio has long helped companies drill-down and analyze processes in search of these areas for improvement. With the AI-enabled Transformation Advisor you can quickly discover and prioritize improvement initiatives. In fact, with Transformation Advisor connected to Process Insights, you can use text-based prompts–“Can I reduce costs in my sales operations?”– to generate analysis and recommended next steps.

This capability allows you to intelligently connect bottom-up insights with top-down strategic goals, bridging the gap from high-level strategy to on-the-ground execution. Looking a bit further out into 2026, Signavio customers will be able to use Joule as a kind of transformation consultant, providing answers and insights based on your process analyses.

On the quest for value, another exciting announcement focused on understanding the interconnections and cross-effects between processes. Signavio has always differentiated itself in the market through its ability to provide an end-to-end view of processes as they cross departments and functions. By showing the impact of one process on another, Signavio offers even richer insight into your process landscape enabling smarter, more holistic decision-making.

Building the Organization of the Future

The second theme explored at the Summit was Building the Organization of the Future. This future, as is rapidly becoming clear, will be determined by AI broadly but also by agentic AI more specifically. While we are still in the early days of agentic AI adoption, we have the perfect opportunity right now to understand the best way for people and agents to interact and create an organization built on their relative strengths.

The goal of agentic AI can’t and shouldn’t be to replace humans. Instead, the goal must be to build organizations where the agentic workforce, so to speak, and the human workforce complement and strengthen each other. Doing that means thoughtfully governing agent creation and deployment, tracking and measuring agent performance, and continuously improving the use of agents to support ongoing business transformation.

SAP Signavio will help to facilitate agent adoption and governance in two ways. First, after enabling companies to determine where AI agents can be introduced to transform process performance, Agent Mining will empower companies to monitor, analyze, and improve agentic flows in real-time.

Second, on the governance front, companies must ensure that agents not only produce the desired result, but that they behave in intended ways. Agent Conformance capabilities will allow you to compare how agents execute tasks against predefined or ideal process paths. As a result, you can maintain alignment and efficiency while also putting guardrails on the “autonomy” built into the agents you deploy.

Value is the currency of transformation

Transformation is not an end in itself. Neither is AI adoption. In both cases, you have a vision for the value you wish to achieve–faster time to market, streamlined customer experiences, a leaner, more adaptable organization–and you then use the tools and methodologies at hand to get there.

In the end, you want to build a scalable, intelligent organization. Building that organization requires insight. What does process performance look like today? How do we measure up against peers? Where can I improve and even transform processes for better outcomes?

But building that organization also requires vision. You have to look beyond what you’re doing today and begin thinking about what’s possible.

Agentic AI, to name the most prominent example, offers an entirely new world of possibility we are all just beginning to explore. With our recent announcements and ongoing product innovation, SAP Signavio reaffirms our commitment to such exploration. Whether you want to get more value from your processes today or create an entirely new organization for tomorrow, we endeavor to provide you with solutions allowing you to do both.

And if you missed the Summit in Austin and would like to see for yourself how SAP Signavio enables value exploration and realization, we will hold another SAP Transformation Excellence Summit in the Hague, November 3-5, 2025. Hope to see you there!
