Powerlink has long utilised Business Architecture within its environment with a Business Process Management practice to support its business and SAP Transformation. The Architectural artefacts are a familiar way to navigate to locate elements of Powerlink’s current state processes. However, Powerlink was quick to identify the advantages of the SAP reference models and how it could be used to help drive improvements. Including enable now, test scripts and configuration assistance. The Architecture team collaborated with the SAP project to align the SAP and Powerlink architectures so that the business can identify where SAP function are currently utilised, where SAP is not utilised but available and also makes it easy for the organisation to pin point where best practice information be utilised. As we launch into our next phase of SAP Insights and Intelligence we plan to continue an architectural driven approach to improvement and prioritisation of transformation efforts.
