SAP Signavio Collaboration Hub: Changes in Version 2.3 (SaaS)

New / Improved Functions

  • If DMN is activated for your workspace, you have more options for DMN tasks:
    • You can preview a linked DMN diagram from BPMN diagrams by clicking the DMN task and you can run the DMN decision in the preview panel.
    • You can run decisions and subdecisions from DMN diagrams in the preview panel.
  • The previously missing attributes "question" and "answer" on DMN elements are displayed.
In the settings, these attributes are not available for grouping. If the admin sets groups for any notation, they won't be shown.
  • We have adjusted how you open models, files, or folders in the directory view:
    • To open an object, click its title.
    • To open the preview panel, click anywhere else in the row.
    • You can now resize side preview panels. Adjust the size by moving the edge of the panel to the left or right.
  • For risk & control overlays, now local attribute values are visible if no dictionary connection is set.
  • We unified the Collaboration Hub settings:
    • You now find the appearance and attribute settings for Collaboration Hub in the settings for Collaboration Hub, they are no longer part of the Process Manager settings.
    • In Process Manager, all moved settings are disabled and the new location is linked.
  • We have unified commenting for Collaboration Hub and Process Manager. From now on, the comment section available in the Process Manager editor matches the comment section in Collaboration Hub.
We added the following improvements for commenting:
    • The number of open comments is shown in the comment icon.
    • You get notified directly in Collaboration Hub and Process Manager.
    • User avatars are visible next to corresponding comments for better orientation.
    • You can now reply to comments directly and this way start threads.
    • To address a comment directly to someone, you can now mention this person in a comment and they get notified. Users only get notified for comments on revisions they can access.
    • Comments can be displayed on diagram and element level. A list of elements with comments is displayed, you can filter comments by element. You can also click on an element to view comments for this element.
    • You can filter comments by status.
    • Edited comments are now marked as edited.
    • We added a pagination for long comment threads.
    • In Preview mode, modelling users can view comments across all revisions. In Published mode, all users can only view comments for the published revision.
    • We have added tool tips to make it clear if comments are visible in Preview mode only.
    • Modeling users can reject comments directly in Collaboration Hub, commenters get notified.
    • In Collaboration Hub, you can now open comments in the model view area and from the header even if you are scrolling the diagram.
    • Commenting in Collaboration Hub

  • Changes for comments in the Process Manager editor:
    • The comment statuses were renamed to improve clarity.
      • Comments are Resolved to signify to your collaborators that the comment has been taken care of.
      • Comments are Rejected when they don’t trigger any changes to the diagram, for example when a suggestion is obsolete due to other changes.
    • You can toggle between commenting and attributes panels.
    • You only see comments for the revision you have currently opened.
    • When you resolve comments in the editor, the number of updated comments is shown for better orientation.
    • When you reject, resolve or delete comments, the commenters are notified.

Fixed bugs

  • We fixed two bugs that affected users of Internet Explorer 11.
    • In Preview mode, the comment section buttons weren’t visible in the side panel.
    • It wasn't possible to open a preview panel in Collaboration Hub.
  • The preview panel didn’t open when dictionary items were linked to attributes as values. We’ve fixed this.
  • Values displayed in overlays were cut off. We’ve fixed this.
  • It is now easier in BPMN diagrams and value chains to detect if elements contain linked objects:
    • If there is no linked element, the + symbol is not active.
    • If there is a link, the + symbol is active.
    • You can preview a linked object or open it.
  • Computed attributes are visible again for BPMN diagrams, value chains and DMN diagrams. You can add them to attribute grouping to configure the process overview.

Note: These are features and bug fixes for the new Collaboration Hub that is part of the SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite. Bug fixes for the classic Collaboration Hub are listed in the SAP Signavio Process Manager release notes.
