Workflow Automation Modeling Patterns

Workflow automation systems typically present business users with a Blank Page Problem: when they first use the software, process models are blank canvasses. When you don’t have experience with using Business Process Model & Notation to define models, its abstract symbols don’t help. What you need is a collection of familiar concepts expressed in BPMN notation so you can compose process models from larger chunks than individual BPMN symbols.
